Is there an annual option?
Yes. £149/year as a one-off payment, which works out to around £12.50/month.
Are there any hidden fees or commissions?
None. Zero commission on every booking, whether the client is new or existing. £19/month is £19/month.
Is JENA really cheaper than most booking apps?
For most beauty professionals, yes. Other platforms charge commissions on new client bookings, plus extras for SMS, marketing tools, and premium features. Those costs add up fast. With JENA, you pay £19/month and you know exactly what you're getting. No surprises.
Why is SMS extra?
SMS providers charge us per message, so we pass this on at cost. It's optional, and many clients prefer email reminders anyway.
How does SMS pricing work?
Simple: £5/month for automatic booking confirmations and reminders. For marketing campaigns, you prepay at 5p per SMS. All costs charged upfront.
What are the payment processing fees?
Stripe handles payments and charges 1.5% + 30p per transaction. That's it. No additional JENA fees on top.
Switching & Migration
Will I lose my clients during the switch?
Never. We transfer everything seamlessly with zero downtime. Your clients won't even notice the change (except the better experience).
What about my existing bookings?
All transferred. Every appointment, every note, every client preference. Nothing gets lost.
Can I really get my data out of my existing booking app?
Yes. Your data is protected under GDPR. It belongs to you, and your current booking app is legally obliged to share it with you in a database format that's easy to process (not a PDF). We've migrated hundreds of professionals from other platforms and we know exactly how to handle the transfer.
How long does migration take?
Most professionals are fully set up within 48 hours. We handle the technical bits while you focus on your clients.
What about Google? Will I lose my ranking?

Do I get my own website?
Yes. Every JENA subscription includes a branded, SEO-focused website that's yours, not shared with other professionals. Your clients book directly with you.
Can I keep my existing domain?
Yes! Connect your own domain or use ours, whatever works for you.
Can I use JENA with my existing website?
Yes. Link your "Book Now" button to your JENA booking page and your clients go straight to booking. If you want to go further and connect a custom domain, we can help with that too.
What size should my hero image be?
Landscape format, 1920x1080px or larger. Keep the main content in the centre of the image so it looks great on both desktop and mobile.
Can I add JENA to the Instagram "Book Now" button?
Meta discontinued that feature, so it doesn't work reliably for anyone. Instead, add your JENA booking link to your Instagram bio and use link stickers in Stories. It actually gets more clicks that way.
Payments & Deposits
How do I take payments?
Through Stripe, which is built into JENA. Clients can pay deposits or the full amount at the time of booking. You can also charge in person.
How quickly do I get paid?
Payouts are processed on a rolling basis and paid into your account after 3-5 working days processing time.
Should I take deposits or full payment upfront?
We recommend deposits at minimum, and full prepayment if you can. Clients who pay upfront almost never no-show, and they're actually more likely to upgrade or add extras on the day because they feel like the treatment is already covered.
Can I take tips through JENA?
Yes. Add the tip to the payment amount, or charge it separately and tag it as a tip. Either way works.
Client Experience
What do my clients see when they book?
Your own professional website with your branding, your services, and your availability. No competitor listings, no marketplace distractions. Just you.
Can clients manage their own bookings?
Yes. They can log into your website to view upcoming and past appointments, cancel or reschedule (if you allow it), and update their details. You control what they're able to do.
Can I set a cancellation window?
Yes. Choose how many hours' notice clients need to give before changing a booking. Set it to 24, 48, whatever suits your business.
Do clients get reminders?
Email reminders go out automatically, included in your subscription. If you want SMS reminders too, that's the optional £5/month add-on.

Can I send marketing messages to my clients?
Yes. Use the Blasts feature to send email or SMS campaigns, like rebooking reminders or promotions. You choose which clients to message and when.
Do you have consultation forms?
Yes. Create custom forms and set them to send automatically before or after a booking. Great for medical history, patch tests, or aftercare instructions.
Can I create discount codes and gift vouchers?
Yes. Set up vouchers with fixed or percentage discounts, usage limits, and expiry dates. We have a video tutorial that walks you through it.
Can I offer different services on different days?
Yes. Set which services are available on each day of the week. Useful if you do nails on weekdays and waxing on Saturdays, for example.

Why shouldn't I just use a marketplace like Fresha or Treatwell?
Because marketplaces work against you. Every time a client books through a marketplace, they see your competitors listed right next to you. Your hard work attracting clients ends up funding your competition. Marketplaces cost you client loyalty (they belong to the platform, not you), brand identity (you look like everyone else), price control (it becomes a race to the bottom), and marketing independence.
