To get a copy of your Booksy client list, contact Booksy support. For UK accounts, email [email protected]. For US accounts, use [email protected]. Booksy’s official guidance directs you to support for a list with contact details. Include your appointment history and future bookings in the same request, using the template below. If you’re switching booking systems, make this request early. You can check out your next system while you wait for the files.
Request your Booksy clients and appointments
We recommend exporting your full appointment history, from your first recorded booking onwards. This lets you keep your historical data, as well as your current client list. Include all future bookings too, using a separate export or support request where needed.
- Open an email from the address attached to your Booksy business account.
- Address it to [email protected] for a UK account or [email protected] for a US account.
- Add your business name and request your client list, contact details, notes and marketing preferences.
- Request individual appointment records too: client, service, date, start time, duration and status. Ask for all available appointment history, from your first recorded booking onwards, and all future bookings.
- Ask for CSV or Excel files, with a client reference linking appointments to the right person.
- Send the request below and keep the reply. Ask Booksy to confirm the delivery date before you plan your final switch.
Booksy documents the support route for client lists. We could not verify a self-service export for a complete appointment file, so appointments are included in the support request. The requested fields above are what to ask for, rather than a confirmed list of Booksy’s export columns. UK export source, US export source.
Your right to request your client data
If you run your own hair or beauty business in the UK or EU, you normally control the client records you keep for that business. GDPR calls you the data controller. You can use the export steps or request below to ask for a copy for your records or to test software.
If you later end the service, both UK GDPR and EU GDPR require your contract to let you choose the return of the client data Booksy handles on your behalf. Article 28(3)(g) sets out this protection in both laws. UK guidance: ICO, EU GDPR: Article 28.
Request a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, such as CSV for contacts and appointments. In plain English: files you can keep or use with other software, with notes and attachments linked to the right client.
A formal data request you can send
Send this to the Booksy support address for your country, listed above.
Use this to request a copy of your data. Replace the brackets before sending.
Your client list and your diary need separate checks
Knowing who your clients are is one job. Knowing who is booked in, for what service and at what time is another.
Use this checklist when Booksy replies:
| What you need | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Client contacts | Which names, phone numbers and email addresses are included? |
| Upcoming appointments | Can Booksy supply them, and what date range do they cover? |
| Previous visits and notes | Are they available in the same file, a separate file or another format? |
| Marketing preferences | Can the original preferences be preserved? |
| Deposits and balances | What records will you need to reconcile these during the move? |
Avoid treating a successful download as proof that your full business is ready to move. Open the files and check a few familiar clients against their Booksy records.
Check the files before importing
Save the originals first, then work on copies.
Check that phone numbers keep their leading zeros and country codes. Look at a few records with email addresses, a few without, and any clients who share contact details. This helps you spot gaps before importing hundreds of records.
If you receive appointments, check a full working day against your diary. Compare the client, service, date, time and duration. Record any differences for the migration team rather than trying to fix everything at once.
Common questions
Can I download my Booksy clients myself?
The UK and US help pages we checked direct you to support. They don’t document a self-service export button, so support is the route this guide recommends. Booksy UK source.
How long does Booksy take to send the list?
The export guidance does not give a turnaround time. Ask support to confirm a date before planning your final switch.
Should I cancel Booksy first?
Our recommendation is to finish checking your files and new booking setup before closing the old account. Confirm your cancellation terms separately so the timing works for your business.
