To export your client list from Treatwell Connect, sign in on a desktop with Owner access. Open Clients, then select Export at the bottom right. The file includes contact details and client-card notes, but excludes booking details and payment information. Treatwell’s official export guide confirms the process.

By the JENA team. Official guidance checked 5 September 2026.

This guide covers Treatwell Connect, using its English-language help centre. Menu labels and available features may differ by country. If you use Treatwell Pro or Salonized by Treatwell, ask support for the export route for that product.

Download your Treatwell Connect client list

  1. Sign in to Connect using a desktop computer.
  2. Select Clients from the top of the page.
  3. Click Export in the bottom-right corner.
  4. Save the file that downloads.

Only Owner access permits this export. Standard and Basic logins cannot download it. These steps and permissions come from Treatwell’s Connect help centre.

Keep the first download unchanged. If your new system needs a different layout, work on a copy so you can always go back to the source.

What comes with the export?

Treatwell lists these fields, where the information is available:

What comes with the Treatwell export
Included What you get
Contact details Name, phone number and email address.
Client-card notes Notes saved on the client card.
Marketing preferences The recorded consent status.
Profile details Gender, language and date of birth.
Account activity Booking count and the client record’s creation date and time.

Individual booking details and payment information are excluded. Source: Treatwell.

A booking count is useful context, but it won’t tell your next booking system that Sarah has a colour appointment next Thursday at 10am. Check that diary information separately.

Get your Treatwell appointments and payment records

We recommend exporting your full appointment history, from your first recorded booking onwards. This lets you keep your historical data, as well as your current client list. Include all future bookings too, using a separate export or support request where needed.

The client export leaves out individual bookings and payment information. First, check your bookings in Connect:

  1. Open the Lists section and select Booking List.
  2. Set the date filter from your first recorded appointment through today to cover your full history.
  3. Review the staff and booking-status filters so they include the records you need.
  4. Repeat for future dates, through your last scheduled appointment.
  5. Open individual bookings to check their details or checkout status.

Treatwell documents this list for past, present and future appointments. Its public guide does not give a verified file-export sequence for the Booking List. Request the appointment file from support using the template below. Ask for individual bookings, including client, service, date, time, duration and status.

For payments, open Lists → Transaction List. This covers financial activity including services, products, vouchers and refunds. Treatwell says this list can be exported, but does not specify the export button or format in the guide we checked. Ask support for the transaction export if you cannot find it. Services appear there only after checkout. Source: Treatwell’s Lists and reports guide.

UK accounts: reviews and account access

Treatwell’s UK Partner Terms exclude Customer Reviews from the data-download provision on termination. The terms also say account access ends immediately following termination and describe support-assisted data return where reasonably possible. Get your files and check them before cancelling. Source: Treatwell’s Return of data terms.

For accounts elsewhere, ask your local Treatwell partner team to confirm the data-return terms and when account access ends. The UK terms above may not apply to your agreement.

Your right to request your client data

If you run your own hair or beauty business in the UK or EU, you normally control the client records you keep for that business. GDPR calls you the data controller. You can use the export steps or request below to ask for a copy for your records or to test software.

If you later end the service, both UK GDPR and EU GDPR require your contract to let you choose the return of the client data Treatwell handles on your behalf. Article 28(3)(g) sets out this protection in both laws. UK guidance: ICO, EU GDPR: Article 28.

Request a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, such as CSV for contacts and appointments. In plain English: files you can keep or use with other software, with notes and attachments linked to the right client.

If a record is missing from the normal export, ask for it separately. The return right covers personal data Treatwell handles on your behalf, rather than every record on its marketplace.

Can’t see the client Export button?

  1. Check you are using Treatwell Connect on desktop.
  2. Sign in with the account that has Owner access. Standard and Basic logins cannot export the client list.
  3. Return to Clients and look for Export at the bottom right.
  4. If it is still missing, contact Treatwell’s partner support and include the product name and account email in your request.

The instructions above are for Connect. If your account uses Pro or Salonized, ask support for the matching export route. Source: Treatwell’s client-export guide.

A formal data request you can send

To send this through Treatwell Connect:

  1. Sign in on desktop and click Chat support in the lower-left corner. On the app, use Menu → Help → Chat Support.
  2. Paste your request and ask for help returning your client and appointment data.
  3. If the chatbot cannot resolve it, it can connect you to an agent or log an offline support case. Keep the case details and reply.

Include whether you use Connect, Pro or Salonized. Source: Treatwell’s support instructions.

Use this to request a copy of your data. Replace the brackets before sending.

Check the file before you move

Choose a few clients you know well. Compare their contact details and notes with the original profiles. Make sure the marketing preferences remain attached to the right person.

Then agree how you’ll handle future bookings and money already paid. Keep a clear record of any appointments changed after the export so they don’t get missed during the move.
