How much commission does Treatwell take in 2026?
Treatwell charges 35% plus VAT on a qualifying new marketplace client’s first booking, subject to location. That is £42 from a £100 booking or £84 from £200. Repeat bookings and clients who book directly carry 0% commission. Its monthly software fee and payment processing are separate.

The card machine costs £199 + VAT. Treatwell Pay has no separate monthly payment fee.
How the 35% commission works
On a qualifying new marketplace booking, 35% plus VAT means a total deduction of 42%.
Repeat bookings carry 0% commission. So do bookings through your calls, texts, WhatsApps, client list or Treatwell’s Book Now button on your own channels.
The way it works: Treatwell uses its customer database and successful appointment history to decide whether somebody counts as new. If it cannot match the client by name and contact details, it can treat them as new. If there are duplicate records, it uses the most recent successful appointment.
A client can also count as new if they have not had a successful appointment with you in the last 365 days. So if a marketplace client returns after more than a year, Treatwell can charge the commission again.
To minimise the fee: keep your client records clean and check your signed agreement. If Treatwell and your records disagree, its Terms say you can submit evidence within 60 days to challenge the fee.
What does that cost on a £100 or £200 booking?

The £45 and £90 totals only apply when a qualifying new marketplace client also prepays online. A repeat or direct booking has £0 commission, although online prepayment still costs 2.5% + VAT.
How much does Treatwell cost each month?
Treatwell does not publish its monthly software price. You need a quote to see what Freelancer or Advanced will cost you.
The customers we have spoken to report paying between £30 + VAT and £50 + VAT a month. That is anecdotal, not Treatwell’s published price.
Get the whole deal in writing. Check the monthly fee, VAT, commission, payment rates and location terms. Your Specific Partner Agreement is what counts.
The real trade-off: marketplace bookings or your own brand?
Treatwell can put you in front of people searching its marketplace. If you need new bookings now, that can be valuable.
But remember how they found you. They were comparing providers on Treatwell. Their booking habit starts with Treatwell, not your brand.
That makes the relationship harder to own. You still need to turn them into regulars. Paying £42 on a £100 first visit only works if enough come back.
